(If you have an announcement of interest to your fellow microISV, indies or startups, please email me at bob.walsh@47hats.com with the word digest in the subject.)

News and Announcements

  • Kevin Dahlhausen, Power Twenty LLC, has released his first microISV product, ErgMate. This is software that acts as a coach, coxswain, and DJ while one rows on the Concept 2 Indoor rowing machine (ergometer) Speaking from personal experience, Concept 2 rowers are great cardio exercise machines, indestructible and a good value – and anything that makes cardio less boring is a good thing. (via email and BOS)
  • Kumaravel Somasundaram, DesignerVista Soft, LLC, has launched DesignerVista 2.0, a Windows mockup/prototype design app and is looking for site feedback. Looks good, especially if you need to mockup MSFT Office-like apps, and there’s an interesting free offer (via BOS).
  • Show #12 of the Startup Success Podcast is awaiting your listening pleasure – our main interview is with Richard White, founder of UserVoice.com. Richard shared the ideas behind UserVoice, how he got attention for his fledgling startup, what he’s doing to monetize, insights on getting people to join your game and more.
  • Speaking of pleasure, one of my clients went live today with their new, much improved web site. Brisworks makes and sells Admin Arsenal, a great tool for managing Windows-based networks. Stephanie Fontecha (highly recommended if your startup wants a really good site) did the web design, I did the copywriting and overall design.
